About Me

Quick snapshot: Courtney La Forest is a somewhat shy girl from all over the place. Born in Torrance, CA and raised in places such as Beverly, MA, Matthews, NC, and New York City, NY, she’s fairly well traveled for a young art student. She is currently working towards her BFA in illustration at the Art Institute of Boston (while minoring in animation/creative writing) and dreams of adventuring the rest of the world. A sweet and whimsical cat lover, she enjoys reading, cooking, and doodling on any scrap of paper she can find, ranging from important receipts or notes from an art history lecture. She wishes to someday create the illustrations and stories found within children’s media, whether it be books, television, or feature film animation.
Various skills: watercolor, gouache, acrylic, graphite, charcoal, ink, mixed media/collage, adobe photoshop, illustrator, flash, painter, toonboom studio, knitting, sewing, baking, scoring bargains, speaking german, speaking spanish (a bit rusty now though), speaking french (sort of..), professional kitten cuddler, hug donor
